The aftermath of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor has left a lot of storylines for people to discuss, and Paulie Malignaggi is a key part of that.

The bad blood between McGregor and Malignaggi following their sparring fallout sparked a ton of buzz that went as far as fans claiming they'd like to see the pair settle their differences inside the boxing ring. While that may still be a possibility, McGregor is expected to return to the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) and will likely challenge the winner of the upcoming interim lightweight title match between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee.

It's been almost a year since the Irishman has competed inside the cage, defeating Eddie Alvarez for the 155-pound throne last November.

Following McGregor's loss to Mayweather inside the ring, Malignaggi has continued to sound off on "The Notorious One" and his fellow UFC fighters as well. This, however, is something that longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan didn't take to kindly to.

Rogan recently took to his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, alongside former UFC heavyweight competitor Brendan Schaub to sound off on Malignaggi and his comments towards UFC fighters. Rogan said Malignaggi should 'shut the f*ck up' about UFC fighters. He also stated that he'd like to see Malignaggi compete inside the Octagon, and it doesn't even have to be against any elite competition (quotes via MMA Fighting):

“He should shut the f**k up because if he wanted to have a UFC fight he can go over there and get his brain kicked in,” said Rogan. “He’s out of his mind. Stop talking. You’re a boxer. You’re a very good boxer. Just shut your mouth.

“There’s literally a million people in the world that could grab you and strangle the life out of you and there’s not a god-damn thing you could do about it. Sorry dude.

"Don’t talk s**t. They will give you a wrestler and he will punch your f**king face into pulp and there’s not a god-damn thing you could do about it. Not a god-damn thing.”

“What does Paulie weigh? [1]45 right? How about you give him Ricardo Lopez. How about you give him Yair Rodriguez, how about that?

"Give him a guy that’s not the top of the food chain. Don’t give him Frankie Edgar, don’t give him Jose Aldo. You don’t need to do that.

“Imagine what Max Holloway would do to Paulie Malignaggi in an MMA fight. Just imagine it. Just try to wrap your head around the kind of a**-f**king he would receive. Max Holloway would literally kill him if he wanted to. Literally kill him.”

“He’d probably f**k C.M. Punk up.”
