EA Sports FIFA begun revealing players ratings on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming release of FIFA 18.

The hugely popular game is due to be released on September 29th and excitement is certainly building amongst their massive fan base.

FIFA revealed the ratings of the bottom 20 of the top 100 players, including the likes of Vincent Kompany, Sadio Mane and Dani Alves.

Ilkay Gundogan only played 10 Premier League games for Manchester City last season but was given a surprisingly high rating of 85 - higher than Mane and Dele Alli.

Marco Asensio, who has started the season in superb form for Real Madrid, entered the top 100 for the very first time.

Signed from Real Mallorca in 2014, the 20-year-old attacking star looks certain to be a regular for club and country for years to come.

Spanish footballing legend David Villa had high praise for his youthful international teammate during the international break.

"We have to see [Asensio] to enjoy him," said Villa. "He's spectacular and he has had an incredible evolution in the last few months.

"We'll enjoy him as a Spanish player for many years. He's making a case to be a starter in Madrid - but that's not up to me, it's up to the coach."

"I have seen very well the evolution of the team at this time. It has huge talent with many great players."

Asensio was given a rating of 84 on FIFA 18 - but it was shooting, dribbling and pace ratings that caused uproar amongst fans on Twitter.

In little time, he has already proved himself as a goalscorer of an array of sublime goals with his magical left-foot.
