Nikki Bella is moving up in the world.

The former WWE Divas Champion has been cast in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. The 25th season of Dancing with the Stars is set to premiere opposite Raw on Monday, Sept. 18.

Bella alongside John Cena made big headlines earlier this year at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida following their mixed tag team match against Maryse and The Miz. The former WWE Champion got down on one knee and popped the big question to her. They had been dating for years, but it was believed that he would never marry again due to his previous marriage that ended badly.

That is the last time that the WWE Universe has seen her on WWE programming. She took time off to let her neck, which she had surgery on, heal up. Keep in mind that before WrestleMania 33, there were some rumors going around that she would be forced to retire after the event due to her neck issues. However, she intends on returning to the ring, even if it takes her another year to do so.

WWE issued the following statement on Bella joining the cast:

Nikki Bella is temporarily hanging up her wrestling boots for ballroom dancing shoes as she officially joins the celebrity competitors on Season 25 of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Fearless Nikki will waltz into the ballroom with professional partner Artem Chigvintsev, who will also be dancing for his first Mirror Ball Trophy. The official cast announcement was made Wednesday on "Good Morning America."

While Artem assured "GMA" hosts that he hasn't experienced a Bella Buster yet, Nikki hasn't ruled it out. "I try to fight him every rehearsal," Nikki joked. The show premieres Monday, Sept. 18, at 8/7 C on ABC. The Season 25 celebrity cast also includes former NFL star Terrell Owens, Barbara Corcoran of “Shark Tank,” actor Frankie Muniz, and married entertainment personalities Nick and Vanessa Lachey.

The Bella Twin is the third WWE Superstar to cha-cha into the “Dancing with the Stars” ballroom. Chris Jericho competed in Season 12 in 2011 and was eliminated fifth out of 11 contestants. Stacy Keibler competed in Season 2 in 2006 and placed third.

Bella posted this on Instagram about joining the cast:

“So I can finally say YES it's true! I'll be competing on @dancingabc this season! Meet my partner @theartemc! What should our team name be?!”
