Arsenal sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and missed out on Thomas Lemar in the transfer window, but there was some good news in an otherwise difficult summer for the Gunners. It seemed extremely likely that Alexis Sanchez would leave the club. The Chilean was the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, who submitted a £50 million bid for Sanchez in the final week of the window.Yet Arsenal managed to hold on to their best player. And though it means Sanchez is likely to leave for nothing next summer, or a reduced price in the January window, it at least means the north London club have a world class player in their squad for the upcoming months. And judging by his latest Instagram post, Sanchez isn’t at all frustrated that Arsenal blocked his move to Man City. The 28-year-old was criticised by the Chilean media following La Roja’s 1-0 defeat to Bolivia on Tuesday, with La Tercera writing: “He never understood how the game had to be played ... To make matters worse, he got a yellow card that leaves him out of the game against Ecuador."

Sanchez reacted on Instagram

It prompted Sanchez to post an emotional message on social media.

“AND THE TIME COMES WHEN YOU GET TIRED,” he wrote. “Tired of being criticised with and without a reason, tired that they want to see you defeated, tired of telling yourself 'once more I will get up' after crying following a defeat and you are tired of telling the world and those people around you that all is well.

"And worst of all is that no one realises how that makes you feel....I wear Chile's number 7 jersey and that brings an enormous responsibility, that is why I'm sad that journalists and bad people criticise without knowing..."

Yet Sanchez appeared in more determined spirits when he took to Instagram late on Wednesday.

Posting an image of himself during an Arsenal match, he wrote: “Back Home ⚽️ FOCUS ⚽️ 💪🏽 🔴⚪️”.

It seems as if he’s ready to put all the noise and the criticism behind him in order to help the Gunners recover from their awful start to the season. Sanchez missed the 1-0 loss at Stoke but was involved in the 4-0 hammering at Liverpool that leaves Arsenal 16th in the Premier League table.
