Exeter boss Paul Tisdale looks set to have Bertie Cozic and Marcus Stewart available for the visit of Southend.

Midfielder Cozic suffered an ankle injury in City's 2-0 defeat at Oldham, Exeter's third league defeat in a row and their third without scoring.

Stewart started the game at Boundary Park, but hobbled off in the second half suffering from a thigh injury.

However, both players are set to be available for selection as long as they suffer no reaction to their injuries in training.

City have also been boosted by the return to match action of Paul Jones.

The goalkeeper has been sidelined for over three months with a knee problem, but played the full 90 minutes for Exeter`s reserves in their midweek win at Portsmouth.

Southend winger Francis Laurent has declared himself fit for the trip.

The French forward has been nursing shin and ankle problems in recent weeks and had to be substituted after an hour of last weekend`s thrilling comeback against Hartlepool after taking another knock.

However, despite missing some training, he insists he is ready to feature at St James Park.

Simon Francis comes back into the reckoning after missing the 3-2 victory over Hartlepool through suspension and the right-back is likely to be restored to Steve Tilson`s starting line-up.

Fellow defender Osei Sankofa was an unused substitute in that game after recovering from a knee injury and the former Charlton trainee is expected to be part of the squad once again.
