Head coach Paul Mariner remains positive rock-bottom Plymouth can pull clear off the drop zone.

Argyle slipped to the foot of the Championship following their 1-0 home defeat by Coventry - the Pilgrims' fifth successive defeat without scoring.

Mariner, whose side face a trip to fourth-placed Cardiff on Boxing Day, said: "Obviously we want to get some results and some points on the board. Watch this space. All you can do is work with the players you've got and see what happens. All I know is the players are totally committed to the cause. I can't praise the players highly enough for their attitude and commitment."
