Defender Andy Corbett will return to the Burton squad after almost two months out when neighbours Notts County visit the Pirelli Stadium.

The full-back has been sidelined since sustaining a hip injury during a reserve-team game against West Brom on November 2 and is expected to be on the bench.

After the games at Cheltenham and Port Vale fell foul of the freezing weather conditions, Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido is not expected to make any changes to his starting line-up.

Club skipper Darren Stride (hamstring) and strikers Greg Pearson (hamstring) and Steve Kabba (groin) were doubts for both games but all three players have now recovered from their injuries.

Burton last played a fortnight ago when they thrashed Aldershot 6-1 at the Pirelli Stadium.

Notts County are boosted by the return of captain John Thompson and fellow defender Brendan Moloney.

Both players would have missed Boxing Day's postponed home game against Grimsby through illness.

However, fellow defender Jamie Clapham, who would have also missed out against the Mariners due to a knee injury, remains a doubt so on-loan Wolves defender Dan Jones is likely to fill-in at left-back and make his first appearance since the end of October.

Midfielder Johnnie Jackson could come back into the reckoning after a month out with a knee injury.

The game at the Pirelli Stadium will be Dave Kevan`s first since stepping in as caretaker manager following Hans Backe`s resignation 12 days ago.
