Neymar's huge Paris Saint-Germain salary has been leaked

It's been almost two months since Neymar shocked the football world by moving from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.

His fee was record-breaking. £198 million. It blew Paul Pogba's previous record fee of £89 million out of the water.

Of course, many fans will say that whatever happens, Neymar, or any other player for that matter, will never be worth that much money.

But he's made a very strong start in France. He has four goals in five league games and also scored in PSG's opening Champions League fixture against Celtic.

He's clearly a big influence on the pitch, as his club failed to break through against Montpellier this weekend in his absence.

The Brazilian did not travel with his teammates to the Stade de la Mosson after injuring his toe last week.

Unai Emery will be hoping to have the 25-year-old available for Wednesday's crunch European fixture against Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes.

He'll want Neymar pulling the strings and combining with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani - even after last week's incident, to give the side a good chance of winning.

But that's not the only reason PSG will want him playing. They'll also want to make sure he's actually earning the salary he demands at the club.

And according to Football Leaks and Der Spiegel, the amount of money he earns is astronomical.

The paper reports that Neymar earns €3,069,520-a-month at PSG, which is around €100,000 per day.

In a year, the Brazilian earns almost €37 million.

Only a few footballers in the world come close to making the kind of money Neymar does just by turning up each week.

As he's being paid so much money, it's probably fair that PSG assume they have one of the best players on the planet.

Most fans believe Neymar is yet to reach the level of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but once they retire, he'll surely be in line to win the Ballon d'Or.

And once that happens, his French team can boast that they have the best player in the world. Until then, they'll be playing the third best in the world €37 million a year.
