Eden Hazard returned in style for Chelsea on Wednesday and Atletico Madrid know it all too well.
The Belgium is being slowly transitioned back into the squad after two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury. The trip to Atletico proved the comeback of the true Hazard with an electrifying performance that propelled his highlights to viral status.
It seems the tricky winger has already forged a formidable partnership with Alvaro Morata who boasts seven goals in seven appearances for the west London side.
With Michy Batshuayi arriving with a last minute winner for the Blues, Hazard's solo antics were integral to one of the finest European performances by an English team in recent years.
Furthermore, give or take the Burnley debacle, Chelsea are commanding a promising position in the Premier League standings amid a purple patch that Hazard will only serve to aid.
The true strength of Antonio Conte's side this season will be tested on Saturday, though. Chelsea welcome table-topping Manchester City to the Bridge in a fixture that essentially won the Blues the title last season.
City will arrive without a recognised left-back after Benjamin Mendy was ruled out for the season after rupturing his ACL and Sergio Aguero will also be absent after a car accident in Amsterdam.
Nevertheless, one potential threat for Hazard and co. will prove a resurgent Raheem Sterling who has entered the 2017-18 campaign in determined fashion.
The often criticised Englishman has stood his own in City's starting XI with six goals in seven appearances - including result-altering strikes against Everton and Bournemouth.
And some fans on Twitter believe Hazard has even been channelling his inner Sterling in Chelsea training this week - well, kind of.
A clip has emerged of the Belgian strutting around Cobham with his arms hanging out to the side, a trope typical of Sterling as he moves around the pitch. Check out the video below:
Hazard's touch and passing still looked pretty polished but it's fair to say the Belgian might want to ditch his so-called Sterling impression.
Chelsea fans were absolutely loving the perceived impression, though, and took to Twitter to voice their entertainment ahead of Saturday's heavyweight clash.
Take a look at the pick of the tweets below:
Supporters will have to wait until the weekend to see whether its Sterling or Hazard with the last laugh and it's certainly a hard one to call.
