Earlier this month, Antonio Conte urged summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko to be patient and follow in the footsteps of N'Golo Kante.Bakayoko, having joined Chelsea from Monaco for £40 million, had only made two starts prior to the 0-0 draw with Arsenal and would have been understandably frustrated. He was ultimately brought in as Nemanja Matic's replacement yet appeared to be the Blues' third-choice midfielder. It was all part of Conte's plan, though, with the Italian telling Bakayoko that he must improve various facets of his game before becoming a guaranteed starter."We did the same with N'Golo when he arrived here," said Conte. "If you remember he was very, very good without the ball, to win the ball, to recover the ball."Now I think you can see a complete player with the ball [and] without the ball. Now he’s becoming better with the ball, N'Golo."We want to work in the same way to have this process with Baka. This will be very important for him and for the team."Baka without the ball is a really strong player, a physical player. You can feel him during the game. I think he can improve a lot with the ball."Conte bided his time before unleashing Bakayoko - and it's worked to perfection. The 23-year-old started in the 4-0 win over Stoke City last weekend and then played a full 90 minutes against Atletico Madrid in midweek.Chelsea ran out 2-1 winners at the new Wanda Metropolitano thanks to goals from Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi, but Bakayoko absolutely bossed it alongside Kante.A highlights reel has emerged from the game of Bakayoko and Kante playing with each other and it looks like Conte has found his perfect midfield partnership.

BAKAYOKO & KANTE VS ATLETICO

Nemanja who? Bakayoko's pace and power is the perfect foil for Kante - and vice versa - and together they make a formidable shield in front of Chelsea's defence.

Blues fans are so excited by Bakayoko and Kante's partnership that they've created a brilliant chant, which you can see below.

The chant goes:

"Ba de ya - Tiemoue Bakayoko,

"Ba de ya - Together with N'Golo,

"Ba de ya - he never gives the ball away,

"One, two, three, four... [repeat]."
