Are there many strikers in the world hotter than Harry Kane right now?

The Spurs man has netted nine goals in eight games so far this season and that takes this record with Mauricio Pochettino's men to an incredible 108 goals in 173 games.

The England hitman has now solidified himself as one of the finest strikers in the world today and at 24-years-old, his best years are ahead of him.

However, Spurs have a habit of selling their world beaters just as they enter their prime.

Both Luka Modric and Gareth Bale spent years in the white half of north London before moving on to Real Madrid and have gone on to win three Champions League titles in the past four years.

Now that Tottenham have a new stadium on the way and now they seem to be legitimate contenders for the Premier League title, maybe their stars don't have to seek out moves to bigger clubs.

Still, the allure of moving to Barcelona or Real is still something nearly no player in the world can resist and with Kane and Dele Alli looking like superstars in waiting, the biggest clubs in the world will inevitably come calling.

Barcelona are a side who will be in need of a new forward in the near future with Neymar recently departed and Luis Suarez now 31.

However, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague insists Barcelona could not afford Kane.

“Barcelona will not go for Kane," Balague insisted.

"They cannot afford his cost for starters but yes, they will have to start thinking of another striker in a couple of years.

“In any case, has anybody asked Kane? I honestly believe that for as long as Pochettino is at Spurs, Kane will stay put.”

As Balague says, Kane is unlikely to leave Spurs with the club on the rise like it is and his relationship with Pochettino continues to thrive.

Speaking of his boss, Pochettino believes Kane is now on Cristiano Ronaldo's level.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is fantastic, one of the best.

"But Harry is one of the best and maybe better because he is younger," Pochettino claimed.

"All the strikers who are at this level have something special. They are killers. Harry has this special skill.”
