The Chicago Bears haven't gotten exactly what they'd have liked from quarterback Mike Glennon on the gridiron thus far, meaning that rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky's time could be on the horizon.

Glennon had a terrible performance against storied division rival the Green Bay Packers this past Thursday on primetime television, turning over the football four times during the game. Fans were calling for Trubisky to be put in the game during Glennon's dismal showing, but Bears head coach John Fox never budged and kept Glennon in for the remainder of the game.

Following the game Fox stated that the time has come to "evaluate everything," which includes the quarterback position, giving Fox 10 days to make a decision before they take the field against the Minnesota Vikings next Monday Night.

One receiver who has witnessed what Glennon and Trubisky are capable of first hand is none other than former New York Giants mega-star Victor Cruz. Cruz was signed by the Bears in the off season but was cut just before the beginning of the regular season.

After having caught passes from both quarterbacks, including reeling in Trubisky's first NFL touchdown during the pre season, Cruz admits that it's time for Trubisky to take his place as the Bears' starting quarterback (quotes via NFL.com):

"I do think that if there's any week for Mitch Trubisky to make his start, to make his debut this season, I think it's this one," Cruz said Saturday on Good Morning Football Weekend on NFL Network.

"I think they have some holes that they need to fill, especially at the quarterback position. It just hasn't been flowing as well as they would hope early on. I think Mitch has a shot, man.

"Anytime a young guy gets his first start, there's no easy game to put him into. There's always going to be those jitters.

"There's always going to be that week of preparation that has to get through and everybody's good in the league, so you've got to make sure that he's ready to go. If this is the week, I think it happens now. "

What are your thoughts on Cruz's comments regarding how Trubisky should be the starting quarterback for the Bears moving forward? Do you think the rookie is ready to lead "The Windy City" on the gridiron? Or does he need a few more weeks to sit back and observe before he's tossed into the fire?
