Arsenal did not start off the season very well at all this year, but in the past month or so they have transformed their fortunes. After another summer of speculation where Wenger's future was unsure, the Frenchman indicated he would remain at the helm for another year. But after an entertaining 4-3 victory against Leicester on the opening day, Arsenal followed that result up with a 1-0 loss away at Stoke, before being thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool at Anfield. These disappointing results brought about the return of the 'Wenger Out' brigade, but since that embarrassing loss on August 27 they have been superb. The next six games brought about five wins, including four clean sheets. And today they made it six wins out of seven after another victory at home to Brighton.Goals from Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi surged Arsenal up into 5th place, six points behind the joint lead set by Manchester City and Manchester United. However, after another impressive display that saw them take all three points, Michael Owen is still not convinced Arsenal are a top four team.In fact, Owen even conveyed his belief that Arsenal could finish as low as 7th, which may not even be enough to qualify for the Europa League. When quizzed on BT Sport whether Arsenal could finish in the top four, Owen claimed "No. I don't think they are good enough at the moment."I think they are 5th, 6th, 7th. It will be one of those three places."You'll probably say that Arsenal are 5th or 6th best at the minute."Considering their recent form, it could be argued that Wenger's men are well on course for a return to the Champions League. It is evident that a number of Arsenal fans also share that belief, and many have reacted angrily to Owen's comments. You can read some of the responses to Owen's prediction here:
