SmackDown Live is arguably the weaker brand of the two main WWE brands. Some might even say it struggles to compete alongside the NXT brand as well, but it could be about to receive a huge boost.

In recent times, WWE's blue brand has seen some of its major stars since the brand split moved over to Monday Night RAW, reducing its star power and appeal, with the most notable move being that of John Cena after SummerSlam this year.

The show needs a boost as outside of its main feud on the show at the moment of Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens, there isn't much to compel viewers to watch every week. It may be about to receive a much-needed injection of life.

WWE has announced that a legend will be returning for a SmackDown live event in Lisbon, Portugal on November 6. Although he may not be wrestling on this night, his appearance should give SmackDown a vital boost. That man is Triple H.

WWE said during the announcement of the show: "When AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, Charlotte Flair, Jinder Mahal and more of your favorite WWE Superstars* come to Lisbon, Portugal, on Monday, 6 November, they'll be joined by none other than The Game himself, Triple H.

"The King of Kings is making a special appearance at the WWE Live Event at Lisbon's Campo Pequeno, which is presented by WWE 2K18 The Video Game. And as the WWE Universe well knows, when Triple H shows up, an already exciting night of sports-entertainment action is guaranteed to become even more unforgettable.

"Don't miss out on your chance to see Triple H and SmackDown LIVE's Superstars in Portugal this November. Tickets for WWE Live in Lisbon are available now at blueticket.pt. *Talent referenced and depicted above are subject to change."

This is exciting news for WWE fans as it will be the first potential storyline related appearance for The Game since his match with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 33 earlier this year. He did appear during the trophy presentation of the Mae Young Classic in September, but he did not do anything related to a storyline.

How Triple H will be booked upon his return to the ring remains to be seen, but, as WWE say in their announcement, whenever he shows up, you know something good is going to happen.
