After the opening weekend of FIFA 18, it's safe to say that fans have some varying opinions about EA Sports' latest installment.
Many gamers have found the new game to be a vast improvement on its previous incarnation and the frostbite engine has provided unrivaled graphics.
The game has shifted its focus towards building the play up with smart passing and places a greater emphasis on the tactical side of the game meaning, players have to think their way to victory.
In games previous, finding speedy wingers and powerful forwards/defenders was the recipe to success, but FIFA 18 represents a more strategic effort.
Still, in terms of gameplay, there are still plenty tips for gamers to enjoy and make the most out of and YouTuber, Ovvy, has told players how they can almost always score from long range.
Score a banger
Brought to our attention by Dream Team FC, the easiest way to score spectacular long-range efforts on FIFA 18 is to line up to shoot straight down the goalkeepers throat.
You'll want to have at least three bars of power and then aim the analogue stick to the right and slightly up, almost diagonally. Obviously, the higher the player ratings in the shooting department, the better chance you have.
If you’ve got a player with decent accuracy and shot power, then you should be celebrating one of many pending screamers before you know it.
Although you can score from different angles with this technique, the power and analogue flicks become inconsistent and much more difficult. Heading down the middle is the easiest way.
Ovvy also offers a few tips in the video. For instance, don't shoot from distance with the weaker foot of a player if they have a weak foot rating of lower than three stars.
In a similar vein, always try to use a player's strongest foot when performing a finesse shot. For those of you that don't know (and come on, you must), the finesse shot is one where the player striking the ball will curl his effort towards goal.
Enjoy scoring some absolute bangers!
