Matt Hardy is currently in a situation in the WWE where they currently don't have a direct booking plan for him because of the injury to his tag team partner and brother, Jeff Hardy.

Jeff is out of action at the moment for the WWE because of a shoulder injury, and he is expected to be out for four to six months. There is a possibility that he could miss WrestleMania 34 next year in New Orleans, although that hasn't been confirmed.

That mean's Matt could be on his own all the way until March 2018, meaning himself and WWE are going to have to come up with some ideas for him, or just not use him for that period.

Now could be the perfect time for him to execute the 'Broken' gimmick in the WWE to full effect but in a different format, and it's something which Matt himself is teasing in a preview before Monday Night RAW this week, and fans are taking notice.

Matt can be seen in the video further down in this article promoting RAW tonight in Denver, with his hair in a similar style and colour to what it was during his Broken gimmick days in Impact Wrestling.

Over recent weeks, Matt has been teasing that he has been 'Woken', which could be WWE's version of the Broken gimmick. This video certainly supports the theory that it could be just around the corner, and that's what a lot of fans are believing on Twitter.

Is it finally happening? Maybe. Many WWE fans will certainly be hoping so, as the Broken gimmick was a huge hit when it was used in Impact Wrestling and the 'Woken' gimmick could have the same effect.

It could give Matt the storyline booking he needs to get him through the time Jeff is on the sidelines for, and perhaps when his brother returns, the WWE could pair them up once more as their own version of Broken Matt and Brother Nero.
