Ipswich's new signing Brian Murphy has been dealt a blow after suffering possible ankle ligament damage at Leicester.

The goalkeeper signed an 18-month deal with the Blues last week but limped out of the warm-up prior to the clash at the Walkers Stadium on Sunday.

Town boss Roy Keane told the club's official website: "Brian was on the bench but he couldn't possibly have played and the ankle is pretty sore at the moment.

"It`s possible that it's ankle ligaments and if that is the case, he could be out for a number of weeks."

"We`ve not had much luck with goalkeepers this season. Shane Supple retired, Asmir Begovic went back to Portsmouth, then Richard Wright got injured and now Brian."
