Its been a wild ride for former WWE Women's RAW Champion Bayley through the WWE.

Bayley has been wrestling since 2008 when she was working the independent scene. After four years she was signed to a developmental deal with WWE and sent to NXT. After winning the NXT Women's Title she would make her main roster debut at the Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) in July of last year before returning a month later on an episode of Monday Night RAW for her official debut.

While Bayley was loved by the WWE Universe upon her arrival to the main roster, her character quickly got old for fans. After winning the WWE RAW Women's Championship from Charlotte Flair, Bayley would drop the title to Alexa Bliss, which marked the beginning of the end for her run as a fan-favorite baby face.

Due to her inability to get 'extreme' against Bliss, fans began to turn off from the Bayley character and her interest from WWE fans skyrocketed downwards. Fans began to call for a heel turn for Bayley to refresh her career, but it would be hard to turn her due to how over she is with the younger WWE audience.

Bayley recently did an interview with Metro to discuss her professional wrestling career, and talked about the possibility of turning heel. Here's what she had to say (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"It's something I think about because I know anything is possible when you're with WWE. I don't know if I have to go to the dark side, although. I do read all the tweets and I do know it's what the fans are kinda hoping for.

"As a performer I need to change in the ring, to be a little bit more aggressive and go about things in a different way rather than Bayley following the rules all the time.

"I might have to bend the rules a little bit to get what I want this time around. I realized when I was out with my injury that I need to go about things differently and not let people push me around so much."

What are your thoughts on Bayley's comments regarding the possibility of turning heel? Would you like to see "The Hugger" turn heel? Or is she better suited to play a baby face week after week on Monday Night RAW? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
