Tottenham flop Roman Pavlyuchenko is reported to be attracting interest from his former club Zenit St Petersburg, according to the Guardian.
Since joining Tottenham the Russian striker has fallen out of favour with manager Harry Redknapp and has subsequently dropped down the pecking order behind Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch in attack.
Redknapp is now looking to offload the 28-year-old in the January transfer window in order to make funds available for other transfer targets.
Sporting Lisbon were thought be keen on securing a loan deal for the striker, however, Pavlyuchenko’s the player's agent, Oleg Artemov, has dismissed the suggestion.
"Tottenham are prepared to negotiate selling Roman but they do not agree even to consider a loan deal."
Pavlyuchenko has played 32 games for Tottenham over the last two seasons scoring just five goals.
