Randy Orton is one of the most legendary professional wrestlers the WWE has ever seen, so it's no secret the WWE wants to keep him healthy so they don't lose out on one of the biggest stars on their roster.

Orton has had some of the best feuds in WWE history with several fellow stars throughout the years, but one of WWE fan's most favorite came against none other than "Captain Charisma" Christian. Chrisitan is a former WWE Tag Team Champion who is recognized as one of the best tag team competitors in WWE history when he used to partner with WWE Hall Of Famer Edge. Christian is also a former World Heavyweight Champion and will no doubt join his best friend in the Hall Of Fame some day as well.

Edge and Christian's professional wrestling career has some to an end and today they host a podcast together, E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness. In the latest edition of the show, Edge and Christian welcomed Orton on to talk about a variety of topics.

During their conversation, Christian recalled a time where he attacked Orton for a segment back in 2005 and ended up injuring him on accident (quotes via IWNerd):

“I came out and I jumped you after a match … it was just going to be a little TV program. I cuffed you so hard in the head and I guess it knocked your equilibrium all crazy because you were down in the ring. You weren’t moving.“

Orton at the time was being primed for a major push and had the fact that Christian was responsible for his being inured come to light, he could have suffered serious repercussions as punishment. Orton would cover for Christian by telling people he was fine and was simply selling Chrisitan's attack:

“They finally got you up, they carried you back and you opened the curtain and you said, ‘Relax everyone. I was just working. I was just selling it,’.

"Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, cool, good job Randy.’ We got down the stairs, you put your arm around me and you whispered, ‘I am so f—ed up.’ “

What are your thoughts on Orton lying to WWE officials backstage and saying he wasn't injured by Christian? Do you think Christian could have suffered serious repercussions had the injury came to light? Or would it have simply breezed over and not have affected "Captain Charisma's" career whatsoever? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
