Everyone wants a piece of Anthony Joshua right now following the Brit’s rise to IBF, WBA (Super) and IBO heavyweight champion.

That even includes Vitali Klitschko, who revealed in an interview with FightHubTV that he wanted to avenge his brother Wladimir, who lost to Joshua at Wembley Stadium in April.

“A fight against Joshua is my best wish,” Vitali, 46, said.

“I have a feeling I can do it better, I have to fight Joshua and bring back the belt to the family."

Yet even Klitschko knows that he’s not the opponent everyone wants to see Joshua face.

That honour goes to American Deontay Wilder, the current WBC heavyweight champion.

Klitschko wants Joshua v Wilder

It’s the fight Klitschko expects to happen should Joshua overcome Kubrat Pulev when they meet in Cardiff at the end of the month.

“If Joshua can beat Pulev, then he can fight with Deontay Wilder, the World Boxing Council champion - and we can finally see who is the best and when that happens, then boxing will have the attention [of everyone],” the Ukrainian politician told ESPN Deportes.

Wilder wants to fight Joshua

Wilder’s next defence of his title will come against Bermane Stiverne on November 4 after Luiz Ortiz failed a drugs test.

Yet The Bronze Bomber only has eyes for Joshua at the moment.

Wilder responds to Joshua's 2020 claim

Wilder has taken to Instagram to express his belief that the 27-year-old is scared to face him.

The WBC champ was reacting to Joshua’s recent admission that the Wilder fight could happen in 2020.

And in Wilder’s eyes, that is proof that AJ’s team is waiting for the American to get old.

“I just want to know what the hell is going on in the heavyweight division,” Wilder said.

“I just woke up to multiple articles where Joshua stated he’s just not mentally, physically or emotionally ready for me, where it make take up to 2020 before he builds up to the courage to really fight me, basically talking about getting me old.

“Don’t you know this black don’t crack? I ain’t getting old no time soon, trust me.

“Are these guys that scared? I am the most feared heavyweight in the division.”

[Eddie] Hearn talking about he would knock me out in three rounds - make the motherf***er fight then!

Joshua has every right not to rush into any fights given his age but, after overcoming Wladimir Klitschko in such impressive style earlier in the year, it’s quite surprising he isn’t itching to try to unify the heavyweight division by beating Wilder.
