For a long time, it was widely considered that Brock Lesnar's last match would be at WrestleMania 34 next year in New Orleans against Roman Reigns as his contract with the WWE expires then or not long after.

Like many wrestlers before him, Lesnar looked set to give an up-and-coming talent, if you want to call Reigns that, the rub in order to get them over before he parted ways with the company for the second time in his career.

However, according to one person, who many believe knows a lot about The Beast's future outside of the WWE, he isn't going to be leaving the company after WrestleMania in 2018. That man being Dana White.

The UFC president was recently a guest on The Dan Le Batard Show, and during his appearance on the show, they spoke about the rumored super-fight inside the octagon between Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones.

Prior to Jones' drug test issues, many thought this fight could have taken place after Lesnar's contract with the WWE expired after WrestleMania 34. However, White has revealed his contract actually expires at the end of the summer in 2018, not after The Showcase of the Immortals.

White said, according to Fightful: “Well Lesnar was still under contract to the WWE until next August. Who knows what would have happened. I don’t count my chickens any more, I’ll tell you that. They didn’t want to do that again. You saw what happened the last time he was under contract (and fought).”

So it looks like Brock is going to be sticking around in the WWE for a little while longer than expected, even if that only means until after SummerSlam later on in the year. At least fans should get a send off they want to see from The Beast then, rather than his last match being against The Big Dog.

After that, although it doesn't look like White has confidence in Lesnar after his own drug test failures following his fight with Mark Hunt at UFC 200, he'll probably have some interest in him if he decides not to sign a new WWE deal once his current one expires.
