Romelu Lukaku is rewarding Manchester United for their decision to spend £75 million on him in some style. The Belgian forward, who arrived from Everton in the summer, has scored 11 goals for the Red Devils and has crept into the category as one of the world’s best strikers.Man United fans feared when Zlatan Ibrahimovic went down with a serious knee injury towards the end of last season but Lukaku has erased their concerns. He’s scored in six straight games and Alan Shearer believes he can go on to reach 30 for the season.“What they had last year with Ibrahimovic was a very good player but someone who was coming towards the end of his career,” Shearer said in August, per the Mail.“What they have got now in Lukaku is a guy who is 24-years of age, who's into his prime, who's been around the Premier League for five years. “Now I think he could go onto the next level. He will get more chances playing in a better team.

He could, should and probably will get between 25 and 30 league goals this season.”

It helps, of course, playing with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, both of whom attract plenty of attention from opposing defences.

And with Henrikh Mkhitaryan playing behind him, Lukaku has one of the most creative players in Europe supplying him opportunities.

Man United fan notices a problem with Mkhitaryan

Mkhitaryan has already supplied five assists in the Premier League this season but one eagle-eyed Man United supporter has spotted he could have had a few more, and Lukaku might have a few more goals, if the Armenian had simply played the easy ball.

Using examples from the games against Basel, Southampton and Crystal Palace, Hesham Bilal-Hafiz has realised that Mkhitaryan has wasted some good opportunities to play Lukaku in.

And yet Man United are still flourishing

Of course, Man United haven’t been punished for Mkhitaryan’s habit. They beat Basel, Southampton and Palace, and currently sit joint-top of the Premier League table.

If anything, their early success, despite Mkhitaryan and Lukaku’s relationship still requiring some work, is a scary sign for the rest of the top flight as well as Europe.

This Man United team is very good. And it can get even better.
