One Superstar has hinted at retiring from WWE.

That Superstar is Summer Rae. The WWE Universe hasn't seen her wrestle a match for quite some time. Summer’s involvement in WWE has diminished to the point where some people wonder if she’s with the sports entertainment company anymore.

She was a main cast member on the reality show on the E! Network, Total Divas, during its second and third seasons. Prior to joining WWE, she played with the Chicago Bliss of the Legends Football League from 2008 to 2011. She played as a cornerback and was the team's captain.

Summer might be adding a little fuel to the fires of speculation in a recent post on social media.

She wrote the following on her official Instagram account on Friday night, “Always wished we had a program together, this one & I! @sashabankswwe 👊🏼💜 #mybish #wwe #sashabanks #mondaynightraw.”

In November 2011, Rae signed a contract with WWE and was assigned to their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). She made her televised debut on the December 18 episode of FCW TV. WWE made a big change to their developmental system and renamed FCW to NXT. Rae went on to become a ring announcer for the rebooted NXT in 2012.

Rae made her official debut on WWE's main roster on the April 22, 2013, episode of Raw as Fandango's dance partner and valet. Keep in mind that at the time, Fandango was getting a big push by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and WWE creative team. Now, he is a comedy character.

Between then and 2015, she would go back and forth as a wrestler and a manager. Rae returned to in-ring action in mid-February 2016 by competing in various matches on WWE programming. In late March, Rae allied herself with Naomi, Tamina, Emma, and Lana. This lead to a tag team match on the WrestleMania 32 kick-off show, which Rae's team lost. On July 19, Rae was drafted to Raw as part of the 2016 WWE draft. This was when her WWE career went downhill.

She has not appeared for the brand since the draft due to injuries. It should be noted that in September 2017, Rae was seen in the crowd at the Mae Young Classic finals in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Although she has not been seen on WWE television for a while, she has been doing a ton of modeling, and that could be an option for her if she decides to retire as an in-ring performer for the sports entertainment company.
