Chris Eubank Jr proved a point or two last night with the sensational third round knockout of Avni Yildirim in the World Boxing Super Series: super-middleweight quarter-finals and retained his IBO super-middleweight title in the process.Next Gen was a cut above his Turkish opponent from the get-go and now extends his record to 26-1.With compatriots Callum Smith and WBA (Super) World Champion George Groves also in the tournament, Eubank Jr could possibly face both men.If Groves wins his bout with Jamie Cox, he will face Eubank Jr. Then, the winner of that bout will face either Smith or the winner of Roger Brandt and Jurgen Brahmer. However, no matter what Eubank Sr does, Chris Eubank Sr is never too far away.Eubank Sr is a legend of British boxing and since his retirement and the start of his son's career, he has been a very visible presence in every facet of Eubank Jr's journeyFollowing Eubank Jr's victory on Saturday night, Eubank Sr was on the scene again and one eagle-eyed tweeter noticed something pretty damn funny about Eubank Sr's actions while his son spoke.Clearly wanting his son to have the spotlight - and perhaps revel in some of it himself - Eubank Sr made sure that the extremely attractive ring girls stayed out of shot while his son enjoyed his moment.

When he did finally speak, he sent a chilling message to Groves, saying: "I'm here to dominate this tournament. I'm sending a message out there that I'm coming.

"George Groves, get through your next fight so we can give the boxing fans what they want to see. I think it's going to be exactly the same as what we saw tonight.

"I'm not playing anymore. Groves, I'm coming for you," Eubank stated.

The only blemish on Eubank Jr's record came via a split decision loss to Billy Joe Saunders back in 2014 and Saunders has gone on to become a WBO middleweight world champion.
