The rumors of the possibility that Ronda Rousey could come to WWE continue to run rampant, and the constant rumored opponent for the former UFC champ is none other than Charlotte Flair.

Rousey started off her mixed martial arts (MMA) career undefeated and was widely recognized as the most dangerous woman on the planet. This was up until November of 2015 when she was defeated by Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Australia. Rousey suffered a nasty second round knockout via head-kick that gave her the first loss of her career. After a year she decided to make her return to the Octagon against newly-crowned UFC bantamweight champ Amanda Nunes.

The pair met in the main event of UFC 207 this past December, however, Rousey was knocked out in just 48 seconds of the first round. Although she hasn't officially announced it, it is widely believed that her career inside the Octagon is over.

Now rumors have begun to pick up that Rousey is eying a career in WWE. With her best friend Shayna Baszler now being signed to NXT after a stint in the Mae Young Classic, the possibility of Rousey going to WWE has never been higher.

When the talk of who would welcome Rousey to the professional wrestling world is brought up, one constant name is always mentioned - Charlotte Flair. The former RAW Women's Champion recently spoke to Rolling Stone to discuss the possible match-up and explained why she wants a match with "The Rowdy One" (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"Here's the thing: With Ronda being part of the division, or her having whatever interest, whether it to be part of the division or as just a fan, it brings more eyes to the women's division, which I'm all for.

"Especially with a crossover star like she is. But I mean, would I want to have another fatal four-way with the four horsewomen?

"That would be at the top of my list. It's not that she's my dream opponent, it's just I want to main event WrestleMania – and with the proper storyline. I can think me vs. Ronda Rousey has a WrestleMania feel to it."

What are your thoughts on Charlotte's comments regarding a possible match-up with Ronda Rousey inside the squared circle? Is that a match that you'd be interested in seeing? Or has the luster rubbed off after Rousey's back-to-back losses in MMA competition? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
