The next PPV event for the Smackdown superstars will be the annual Survivor Series and Hell in a Cell could have given us a big indication of one of the main events.

As has been expected for several weeks, backstage rumours claim that a Team Owens vs Team McMahon is still set to take place at the event.

Meaning that Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon will be leading teams into the event, Bryan Alvarez speculated about some possible team mates for each superstar.

Given his dramatic change in attitude, Zayn is expected to be a firm member of Team Owens.

Meanwhile for McMahon, he could find himself a team mate in the former United States Champion, AJ Styles.

Styles will still be owed a rematch for his United States Championship but with over a month until Survivor Series, there is a high chance that the match could take place during an episode of Smackdown Live.

The month leading to Survivor Series will certainly be interesting on Smackdown Live as McMahon and Owens could continue to be on their collision course.

An interesting few months

The rumours surrounding Styles since his title loss on Sunday night have been varying with him also being rumoured to be set to challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship.

Styles could be about to re-enter the Smackdown main event picture - one way or the other.

If he does join the Smackdown Commissioner at Survivor Series, it will certainly be interesting to see who will step up to challenge for the WWE Championship.
