Chelsea attacking midfielder Charly Musonda has caused a storm with an Instagram post shared on Monday night.
The 20-year-old Belgian hasn't featured for the first team since coming off the bench in the 91st minute on the opening day of the season.
Chelsea mistakenly sold Belgian wonderkids Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne in recent years, who are now considered to be two of the finest players in the Premier League.
Lukaku has enjoyed a record breaking start to life at Manchester United since securing his £75m move from Everton this summer.
Meanwhile, De Bruyne has proven himself as one of the finest midfielders on the planet since joining Manchester City for £55m in 2015.
Respected Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur believes Musonda is the finest player Belgium have produced.
“Charly Musonda is sometimes on the bench for Chelsea, sometimes playing in the League Cup games," said Terreur on the Transfer Window Podcast.
“He’s Belgium’s best talent ever. Purely if you look at his technical skills. Physically he’s quite skinny.
“He went to Chelsea when he was 16 and he still hasn’t got his break. He went to Betis on loan and did well and started to think he could be in the national team squad and be Belgium’s next star.
“Then he got injured and was sent back to Chelsea. And he didn’t believe it anymore and he wanted to leave and Conte persuaded him to stay.
“And now he’s playing a few games this season but that’s not enough to develop.”
Musonda was a regular in La Liga in the 2015/16 season and you can understand his frustration Under Italian coach Antonio Conte.
Willian has produced some remarkably terrible performances this season but is still preferred to the Chelsea academy star.
Musonda's Instagram post
The young Belgian star shared a bleak message on Instagram which many Chelsea fans construed as a dig at Conte.
A comment from his brother, spotted by eagle-eyed Chelsea supporters, suggest Musonda's post was definitely about his stalling career in west London.
Chelsea fans freak out
Incredibly, the last player from Chelsea's academy to be a success at the club was John Terry.
The fans are desperate to see a player from their undoubtedly talented youth ranks make it into the first team.
Musonda's chances now look slimmer than ever.
