Tyson Fury has revealed via Twitter that he’s planning to have three fights in 2018. One he claims is planned for April, one in the summer and the other coming at the back end of the calendar year.Fury hasn’t been seen in a boxing ring since his dramatic victory over Wladimir Klitschko almost two years ago where he won the WBA Super, WBO, IBO and IBF championships.Since then, Fury has been plagued by injuries and personal issues which have seen him cancel scheduled rematches with the Ukrainian as well as relinquish his various title belts.Earlier in October, Fury announced that he would reapply for his boxing license after he had it suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) last year following the investigations surrounding anti-doping.On Thursday, the 29-year-old took to Twitter again to announce that he plans to get back in the ring three times during 2018 after tweeting the following:“Be ready to fight in April 2018 in a great fight! & again in the summer in a mega fight! & again in back end of year. 3 big fights in 2018.”

Speculation will now begin as to who Fury has lined up as his opponents in the new year, with a dream fight with fellow undefeated Brit Anthony Joshua being rumoured, but it isn’t the first time the Gypsy King has prematurely made plans on Twitter, only for them to be quashed by the BBBofC.

Back in March this year, Fury tweeted that his return fight would take place on May 13, before the BBBofC spoke out against such an idea, stating that Fury’s boxing licence was still suspended and that no such comeback would be happening.

Time will tell whether we will actually be seeing Fury back between the ropes but it seems a lot depends on whether he can make a successful application for a boxing licence with his UK anti-doping hearing has yet to be given a set date.

The latest reports claim that Fury will be applying via the Boxing Union of Ireland in order to re-obtain his licence.
