George Groves showed his mettle on Saturday night with a hugely impressive win over Jamie Cox at the Wembley Arena.Cox, 31, was knocked out in the fourth round by the world WBA super-middleweight champion after an entertaining fight in the quarter-final of the World Boxing Super Series.“I made a mistake and he made me pay,” a disconsolate Cox said in the ring after being counted out following a stunning Groves body blow. The Swindon born boxer had Groves on the ropes at times but the bigger man buried a wicked right deep into Cox’s unprotected ribs to end any hope of an upset.Groves will face Chris Eubank Jr in the semi-final and it was already being billed as the fight of the year before the Londoner had even defeated Cox."I'm here to dominate this tournament," said Eubank Jr following his third round knockout of Avni Yilidirim last week. "I'm sending a message to everybody that I'm coming."George Groves get through your next fight against Jamie Cox to give the public what they want to see – which is me and you in the semi final in January."Lions don't concern themselves with the thoughts of sheep. If I don't have power then I don't have power. I'm not here to prove anyone right or wrong I just want to give them exciting fights."Groves is an experienced, well-rounded fighter and that's why the boxing fans want to see this fight. I'm back in the gym tomorrow and Groves I'm coming for you."The bout is expected to take place in a London football stadium in January or February.Eubank Jr came face-to-face with Groves in the ring immediately after Saturday night's impressive win.“It was a good fight. He did what he had to do to win (and there’s) not too many cuts and bruises so we’re on for January and I’m excited,” said Eubank Jr.

Tony Bellew reacts on Twitter

Bellew is set for a re-match with David Haye later this year and he too was tweeting about the mega-fight between Groves and Eubank Jr.

The Liverpudlian boxer caused quite a stir on Twitter by suggesting it doesn't matter who wins as neither of them would be able to defeat fellow Scouser Callum Smith.

Plenty of fans on Twitter disagreed with Bellew.
