Inter Milan vs AC Milan - the mother of all derbies. The Derby della Madonnina isn't the same contest it once was in terms of quality, but very few compare when it comes to passion and history.Heading into the clash at the San Siro, Inter were looking to extend their unbeaten run in Serie A having won all but one of their seven league games. As for AC, the Rossoneri were ninth and needed all three points to close the gap on their high-flying rivals.Juventus' recent dominance in Serie A means it's been over six years since a Milan side last won the Scudetto title.AC finished top in the 2010/11 season, but before that, Inter ran out winners five years in a row from 2005/06 to 2009/10.It was Inter who broke the deadlock in the 27th minute. Antonio Candreva's wicked cross into the box found Mauro Icardi, who made no mistake in beating Gianluigi Donnarumma.Icardi has been in stunning goalscoring form this season and continued that run against Inter's rivals with his seventh goal in Serie A alone. However, it was one surprise name that everyone was talking about ahead of the Milan derby: former Liverpool man Fabio Borini. The Italian forward joined AC on loan from Sunderland over the summer in one of the most unexpected moves of the transfer window.Vincenzo Montella has predominantly used him as a forward this season, but he had very different plans for the Milan derby. When the starting line-ups were announced and the teams walked out, football fans were shocked to discover Borini was starting at right-wing back. That's right - Borini, a striker by trade and making his first ever appearance in the Milan derby, was virtually playing in defence. Madness. Here's how Twitter reacted to Montella fielding Borini at right-wing back.
