Cristiano Ronaldo might be 32-years-old, but he's no relinquishing his status as one of the biggest names in football just yet.

The Real Madrid superstar has made a relatively slow start to this season by his abnormal standards and only netted his first La Liga goal of the campaign in the 2-1 victory over Getafe at the weekend.

However, he still has six goals in eight appearances thanks to his prolific start in the Champions League and is virtually a shoe-in to bag his fifth Ballon d'Or award.

The Portuguese legend cannot go on forever, but considering the great shape he keeps himself in, he's likely to be a focal point for Real for a good few years yet.

With his place in the side comes a certain influence over the club and there is no doubt Los Blancos conduct their business with a view to keeping Ronaldo happy.

But who does the former Manchester United man enjoy playing with the most?

There have been rumours about Karim Benzema's departure from the club for years now, but according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, he's Ronaldo's favourite teammate and there's every reason to keep him around.

"It was the return of the Cristiano Ronaldo-Karim Benzema partnership at Getafe at the weekend, the first time they've played together since the Champions League final.

"Benzema for me is one of the most important players at Real, alongside Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos. He defines the style of the team, and is the perfect forward partner alongside Cristiano, because he links the midfield, moves around and is comfortable in every position up front.

"I am sure, in fact I know, that Ronaldo prefers Benzema next to him than any other player."

Many strike partners have come and gone since Ronaldo arrived at the Bernabeu back in 2009. Names like Alvaro Morata, Gonzalo Higuain, Kaka, Angel Di Maria, James Rodriguez and Mesut Ozil have shared a frontline with Ronaldo during his tenure at the club, but it seems Benzema is his absolute favourite and it's no wonder he's lasted the longest.

Ronaldo's next outing will be against Spurs in the Champions League and he'll be relishing an opportunity to add to the four goals he bagged in his first two group games.
