What is going on in the WWE right now?

It seems as though, in the space of a week, the WWE has either lost or is on the verge of losing two of the fans' favourite stars in Neville and Nia Jax - depending what reports you believe.

Rumour has it the Neville, from Newcastle, England, is very unhappy with his position in the company and feels his talents should not be strictly confined to the cruiserweight division he has carried on his back for the past year or so.

Most of the WWE's fanbase agrees with that assertion and there is no doubt that Neville - formerly known as Pac on the independent circuit - is one of the very best in-ring performers in the world.

However, reports suggest that WWE's top brass believes he may be too small to main event for the company against the likes of Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and so on.

As for Jax, as one of the burgeoning stars of the women's division, it was a surprise when she failed to feature on Monday Night Raw this week, but several outlets went on to report that she has been granted a leave of absence from the company for 'personal reasons'.

Other than that vague reasoning, it's not clear what Jax's issues are, but one would assume they aren't quite the same as Neville's.

Fast forward to Tuesday night's SmackDown Live and, of course, a sly dig was made at both stars' expense.

In a segment where SD Live general manager Daniel Bryan is talking backstage with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, the leader of the Yes Movement reveals that the new heel duo will have to face Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura in a tag team match.

As KO walks off screen, he can just be heard saying "I should walk out" before the segment finishes. Take a look at the clip below:

Of course, this is more than likely a good-natured jab from KO who only posted a picture of himself and Neville on social media a couple of months ago claiming his friend to be 'one of the absolute best wrestlers on the planet'.

Still, friend or not, KO can't resist a good zinger when there's one going!
