In what is being called one of the most bizarre dismissals in the history of cricket, Matthew Wade has shocked everyone with his performance on Tuesday.
In a video from the JLT One Day Cup in Australia, while playing for the Tasmanian Tigers, Wade unfortunately had a terrible day at the office.
The wicket-keeper is under huge pressure to retain his spot for the Ashes squad, and this display in Queensland will have done nothing to urge the Australian selectors that he deserves his place.
The first embarrassing moment of note for Wade came when he messed up a relatively simple chance from Usman Khawaja.
Wade dropped a very simple catch from the Test batsman, and Khawaja went on afterwards to make 41, with the Bulls making a huge total of 339.
But, Wade's day would soon go from bad to worse when he stepped up to bat for his team.
During Tasmania's chase, he managed to make 38, before the extremely bizarre dismissal took place.
The left handed batsman took a wild swing at a delivery from Mitchell Swepson, when he somehow managed to scoop the ball around to short third man on the off side.
It looks like Wade actually gets two connections with the ball, unfortunately directing it straight to a delighted Queensland fielder, who was set up for an easy catch.
"That is one of the most bizarre dismissals you will ever see," commentators said.
With Australian Test greats like Adam Gilchrist and Michael Slater both recently calling into question Wade's place in the Ashes squad, this horror show will have done little to stop people suggesting he should make way for the likes of Peter Nevill when the Aussies face England.
The Tasmania captain will need to return to form quickly if he is to silence the doubters, and he'll need to hope that people forget about his terrible day in Queensland very quickly.
