Swansea are set to sign Finland international Shefki Kuqi on an 18-month contract.
The 33-year-old striker moves on a free transfer from German second division side TuS Koblenz where he has scored seven times in 17 outings this season.
He told the club's official website: "I'm moving to a club that is doing really well. I know Swansea like to play the right way and whether they play one or two up front I don't mind.
He added: "I like to put myself about and I can't wait to get started. I'm buzzing."
Swans boss Paulo Sousa added: "He is a quality striker who will add something different to our squad so that we can keep doing well in every game and be successful."
