The futures of both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are of much concern to Arsenal fans.

Both are star players for Arsene Wenger's side, but neither are set to commit their futures to the club beyond 2018.

Thus, there has been much speculation to where these two world class players will end up.

When asked about the futures of Sanchez and Ozil earlier this month, Wenger said: "Once you are in our kind of situation we have envisaged every kind of solution yes, It’s possible (That they will leave).”

And when questioned further whether Arsenal have set a deadline on their contract negotiations, Wenger added: "No not at the moment."

There has been much speculation to where Ozil will leave to, with Inter Milan and Manchester United just two clubs that have been linked to the German maestro.

But after Wenger admitted earlier this month that he would consider selling Ozil, the former Real Madrid man has now opened up to teammates regarding a controversial move to Arsenal's big rivals, Man United.

According to The Mirror, the 29-year-old is now confident he will secure a move up north to Man United, and he has been telling his Arsenal teammates that he will sign for the club.

However, The Mirror have also added that it remains to be seen whether Jose Mourinho will decide to push through on a deal for the 2014 World Cup winner.

Nevertheless, if United do decide to make a move for Ozil, this will come as a bitter blow to Arsenal.

Not only would the north London club be losing one of their star players, but one of their rivals would be strengthened in turn.

With Arsenal languishing in sixth place and already nine points behind the lead held by Man City, this season could well be a disaster for the Gunners.

If they want to close the gap and challenge for the title, losing their best players, especially to Premier League rivals, is probably not a wise strategy.
