Football News

According to reliable reports, Mesut Ozil has his heart set on a shock move to Manchester United this summer.

The German playmaker has made up his mind to leave Arsenal when his contract expires in the summer, per the Daily Mail, and wants to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Ozil played some of the best football of his career under Mourinho at Real Madrid and believes the Portuguese coach will make a move for him at the end of the current campaign.

United fans have produced a mixed reaction to the news over the past few days.

Some supporters believe Ozil would rediscover his best form at United under Mourinho and prove to be a masterful signing, while others feel bringing in a 29-year-old attacking midfielder who has gone missing on far too many occasions in the past would be a serious gamble.

You can understand both points of view. Ozil is a player who blows hot and cold: unplayable in one match and anonymous the next.
