Kurt Angle made his return to WWE action after 11 years away on Sunday night when he competed as a honourary member of The Shield in a 3-on-5 handicap match against The Miz, Kane, Braun Strowman as well as Sheamus & Cesaro. The American Hero was filling in for Roman Reigns as part of The Shield. According to reports, The Big Dog was struck down with a case of the mumps and Angle wasn't even the WWE's first choice. The 48-year-old had a successful return to the ring in what was a seriously chaotic match and helped Seth Rollins and Deam Ambrose nailed a Shield-special triple powerbomb for the win. However, on the next night, Angle was back to his role as Monday Night Raw general manager and focusing on the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view.As one of the WWE's big four PPVs - alongside the Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and WrestleMania - Survivor Series has become the battle of the brands since Raw and SmackDown Live became their own entities just after WrestleMania 32.Several inter-brand matches have been set-up for this year's event. Raw tag team champions Rollins & Ambrose will take on SD Live tag champs The Usos; Intercontinental champ The Miz will face off against U.S. champion Baron Corbin while Raw's woman's champ Alexa Bliss will dance with SD Live's woman's champ, Natalya. However, the main event of these inter-promotional matches will see Universal champion Brock Lesnar face off against WWE champion Jinder Mahal.Mahal challenged Lesnar on last week's episode of SmackDown, but when Angle confirmed the event was going to take place, he made an almighty error:

May-hal?! No one has ever pronounced his name that way - ever!

Paul Heyman would come out alongside the Beast Incarnate later on in the show and verbally trash Mahal and his accomplishments as the WWE champion - sentiments that plenty of WWE fans agree with.

Naturally, the WWE Universe took great joy in Angles error and flooded Twitter with their reactions.

We love you, Kurt, but do better, buddy!
