The RAW men's team is still yet to be announced after General Manager Kurt Angle was prevented from announcing the team on Monday night.

However McMahon didn't wait around and announced the first qualifying match for the team on Tuesday night.

After being confronted by Sami Zayn at the start of the show, McMahon put Zayn in the main event to determine the first member of Team Smackdown.

Having to go one on one with the Viper Randy Orton, Zayn faced a big challenge in the final segment of the show.

Zayn wasn't able to get the win despite the best efforts of both himself and his new ally Kevin Owens.

Owens would come to the ring towards the end of the match and attempt to get the win for his friend but the Viper would still manage to get the win.

Making Orton the first member of Smackdown's men's team for Survivor Series, the Viper will be a crucial addition to the team.

Tuesday's episode of Smackdown also revealed the plan to name more members of Team Smackdown with two matches announced for next week.

A crucial week

Next week's episode of Smackdown will two matches confirm additional members of the team.

Firstly, Kevin Owens will battle Shinsuke Nakamura with each man trying to seal their ticket to Survivor Series.

The second contest will be a two out of three falls match between Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler.

RAW is also expected to make moves in appointing member of it's team as General Manager Kurt Angle was meant to do on Monday night.

There is currently no hint about who may be joining Team RAW, but with names like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and the Miz already confirmed for different matches at Survivor Series, the possibilities are quite open.

Superstars like Finn Balor, Cesaro, Sheamus and Jason Jordan could all be in line for a cal up to Team RAW.

However with Survivor Series having been the home of countless debuts throughout the years, it could be possible that a call up from NXT could be in the works.
