Captain for Smackdown's female Survivor Series team named

Monday night saw Team Smackdown fire the first shots on the road to Survivor Series as they stormed the RAW locker room and assaulted any superstar they encountered.

On the orders of their Commissioner Shane McMahon, the Smackdown roster arrived on RAW and placed the show under siege.

Roles being defined

Monday's episode of RAW went a long way to establishing the foundations of Survivor Series as not only were four Champion vs Champion matches confirmed, but two inter-promotional elimination tag team matches were also announced.

A mens and a womens match was announced for the show and while no-one has yet been announced as part of the RAW men's team, the women's team is coming together early.

Alicia Fox was named the RAW captain and Bayley and Sasha Banks were revealed as her team-mate for the big match at Survivor Series.

24 hours later, Smackdown Live followed suit and not only named their captain for the event, but the entire Smackdown Live women's team was revealed.

During a backstage segment, Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan confirmed that Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Tamina, Naomi and Carmella will represent Team Blue at Survivor Series.

Bryan also confirmed that there would be a match between all five women to determine a team captain.

Lynch emerged victorious in the match which brought together all five women for the right to lead the team into Survivor Series.

Lynch was a part of Team Smackdown last year at the event while she held the Women's Championship, but wasn't named team captain that year.

She will now attempt to lead a team which has shared some heated rivalries in recent weeks and get them to overcome a currently mysterious RAW team.

While Fox, Bayley and Banks have been confirmed for Team RAW, there are still two open slots on the team and the main question from the fans right now is, will Asuka be a part of the team at Survivor Series?

Teams taking shape

While the RAW men's team is still anyone's guess, the first member of Team Smackdown was revealed on Tuesday night.

With the main event of Smackdown live being a one on one contest between Sami Zayn and Randy Orton, the winner would become the first person named onto Team Smackdown.

Orton managed to get the win despite the attempted interference of Zayn's best friend Kevin Owens and two more team members will be revealed next week.

Two more qualifying matches were revealed which will see Owens take on Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode take on Dolph Ziggler in a two out of three falls.
