Rowan Vine is in line to start for QPR when Scunthorpe arrive at Loftus Road.

The striker returned from a hernia operation as a substitute towards the end of the 5-0 midweek drubbing at Nottingham Forest.

Vine could get the nod alongside Jay Simpson after the Arsenal loanee endured a tough evening up front on his own at the City Ground.

Winger Lee Cook was on the bench on Tuesday night for the first time this season after recovering from summer knee surgery and will hope to get on the pitch.

Kaspars Gorkss, Damion Stewart and Matt Connolly will vie for two spots at centre-half following Fitz Hall's switch to Newcastle.

Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has extended his loan spell from Wolves until April and will get the nod ahead of Radek Cerny again.

Defender Rob Jones will be fit after the a club-record signing from Hibernian came off with just over 20 minutes remaining in Wednesday night's win against Sheffield Wednesday due to cramp.

But Iron boss Nigel Adkins revealed the giant centre-half will start against the Hoops, meaning loan signing Brendan Moloney will probably have to wait for his first start.

Midfielder Michael O'Connor returns to the squad after serving a two-game ban, but he may have to settle for a place on the bench along with Josh Wright.

Defender Andrew Wright could also be among the subs after recovering from an ankle injury as the Iron look to move further away from the relegation zone.
