The saga involving Nia Jax continues.
There is currently speculation that Nia Jax is not happy with her role in WWE. The news was first reported by the Twitter account @WrestleVotes, which is the same account that initially broke the Neville story. It was noted that she walked out of a recent Raw TV event.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet then reported that he was unable to confirm if she left the show angrily. However, the site is reporting that Jax has been granted a leave of absence for personal reasons by management.
Last week, Sports Illustrated came out with a new report that stated Jax, who has more leverage than people believe, is unhappy with her current pay scale and with how she's been booked. The leverage Jax has comes because of who her cousin is - The Rock.
According to a new report from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, we now know the reason for Jax’s “leave of absence.” Nia “balked” at the idea of losing cleanly to Sasha Banks at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay-Per-View.
According to the report, she called her cousin: Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson for advice. The report claims that “Johnson encouraged her to walk away if she was unhappy”. It seems though that things are sorted out between her and WWE since she is reportedly returning on November 1st.
Women's Champion Alexa Bliss recently did an interview with The New York Post where she was asked about the status of her friend.
"We have talked about it a lot," Bliss said. "Whatever she is going through, I wouldn't necessarily call it a leave of absence. She's taking some time off because our schedule it very grueling. It's very, very demanding. There are times where you are run down and your body can't do it anymore and you get sick or you get injured from it and you get tired.
"So, I feel like everyone needs a reset every once in awhile. In NXT I took a few resets and it was never like public knowledge, but we all need them. We all take them once in awhile. I am happy when she comes back. I feel like everyone needs that refresher week or refresher moment."
