It looks like future WWE Hall Of Famer Chris Jericho has some heat with one top New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) star. Jericho is one of the greatest professional wrestlers to have ever stepped inside of the squared circle. "Y2J" has been in the industry since 1990; before going on to work for promotions such as Wrestling and Romance/Wrestle Association R and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) before landing a deal with World Championship Wrestling (WCW).WCW was WWE's greatest competitors of all time, and Jericho used that platform to solidify himself as one of the greatest workers in the world in WCW's beloved Cruiserweight Division, where he reigned as champion. After spending three years with WCW, Jericho departed the company in favor of signing with WWE. Jericho has one of the most memorable WWE debuts of all time as he interrupted The Rock's promo which led to an epic war-of-words between the two. From then on out Jericho would embark on an amazing WWE career that saw him win six World Championships, seven Tag Team Titles, two United States Championship wins, nine Intercontinental Titles, as well as a European and Hardcore Title reign each. After nearly 20 years in WWE Jericho still returns sporadically for long runs with the company, often putting over young talent such as AJ Styles and Kevin Owens. He is one of the most respected veterans in the business and his opinion often carries around some huge weight.Across the pond over in NJPW is a young man by the name of Kenny Omega who has taken the indie wrestling scene by storm. Some consider Omega to be the greatest professional wrestling in the world and are anticipating a possible signing with WWE in the future.Last week a fan took to Twitter and named Omega the greatest wrestler in the world today, something Jericho completely disagreed with:

More recently Jericho continued taking shots against Omega on Twitter by slamming his fame. Omega responded to a fan by poking fun at the fact that Jericho has never put on a six star match. Jericho responded by admitting that Omega does put on great matches - but it's too bad nobody has ever seen them:

What are your thoughts on Jericho taking shots at Omega on Twitter? Do you think that this is something that was set up between Jericho and Omega? Or is there some legitimate heat between the two professional wrestling studs? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
