Roman Reigns has not been seen in action for over a week, as his last WWE appearance came on the go home Monday Night RAW show prior to the TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view last Sunday.

The Big Dog was supposed to link up with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose as part of The Shield reunion at the event in the 5-on-3 handicap Tables, Ladders, and Chairs main event against The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane. However, he was unable to compete due to medical issues as he had the mumps.

Reigns failed to show up during RAW this past week as well, where WWE began their major angle for their next pay-per-view Survivor Series, reigniting the feud between RAW and SmackDown with the blue brand's superstars invading and attacking the red brand's superstars.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is rumored to be evaluated for a return next week on Monday alongside Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, the other superstars who were unable to compete at TLC due to medical reasons. If he passes, it could mean he is booked to appear on RAW next week.

Due to The Big Dog being pulled from the TLC pay-per-view, The Shield's comeback never happened. However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, via Sportskeeda, states there could still be some big plans for him at Survivor Series if he can recover from the mumps in time.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter also notes if Reigns is cleared for a return then he will likely be placed as the leader of Team RAW for Survivor Series.

Since both Rollins and Ambrose are busy facing The Usos at the event, there is little chance of a Shield reunion happening here, so Reigns is free to be used.

Survivor Series doesn't occur until November 19, so there's plenty of time for the WWE to get him involved if they wish to do so and if he clears his medical evaluation next Monday. Expect WWE to announce his involvement sooner rather than later to get fans more excited about the event.

WWE is apparently holding off on having RAW superstars invading and attacking SmackDown superstars until Reigns is cleared as they want him to lead the charge. It is widely expected that this invasion will either happen next week on October 31 or on November 14, which is the go-home show before the pay-per-view.
