GINI SEALS THE 3 POINTS

Wijnaldum's goal was the pick of the bunch, with Liverpool missing a number of chances to increase their lead in the latter stages of the match.

There were a number of candidates for man of the match from the Liverpool camp, with Jordan Henderson instrumental in the middle of the park, completing 124 passes.

But, Liverpool fans were not praising an attacker or a midfielder, instead, they were raving about one defender; Joe Gomez.

In a week where their defence has been questioned by everyone, the young Englishman has maintained his reputation and was fantastic at right-back versus the Terriers.

Needless to say, Liverpool fans were tweeting their joy over the former Charlton man.

LIVERPOOL FANS LOVE GOMEZ

The kid certainly has a bright future.

With Nathaniel Clyne still to return and the impressive Trent Alexander-Arnold available to Klopp, it's safe to say that right-back is by far the strongest department in his defence.

A number of people were suggesting that Gomez should be tried at centre-half instead of Lovren, but it is clear his natural position is out wide.
