This week on SmackDown Live, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens had a stare down on the show after The Prizefighter tried to interfere in The Viper's match against Sami Zayn, but he was not successful in his efforts.

This spot between Owens and Orton was done to set up a future confrontation between the two further down the line, either before Survivor Series later on this month, or just after it, as they're arguably the two biggest stars on the show which are yet to feud.

The Viper teased a possible feud between himself and The Prizefighter later on this year with a, what some might deem controversial, post about Owens on his Instagram account earlier this week.

Orton posted a photo of him eating McDonald's breakfast food with the caption: "Don't judge me @metabolicmeals @1stphorm @emergefitnesstraining I needed the calories. Also I'm training for a potential confrontation with @fightowensfight"

Many believed this was Orton's way of taking the mick out of Owens' size, which some WWE fans have been unhappy about in the past. Nevertheless, Owens wasn't going to stand by and not give a response, and his response was absolutely brutal.

The former Universal Champion said in his response: "I've been preparing for a potential battle between us too, buddy. I watched paint dry today. I've got you all figured out."

This is a brutal shot at Orton if you know the context as despite him being a very talented performer, he is sometimes criticised for not putting on entertaining matches inside the ring. As watching paint dry is a boring activity, this is a hilarious comparison.

From only this little snippet between these two on social media, this looks like it could be a very entertaining program for WWE fans to look forward to and hopefully, it happens before the end of 2017.

The Prizefighter is scheduled to go up against Shinsuke Nakamura next week on SmackDown for a spot on SmackDown's Survivor Series team, which is captained by The Viper, so it will be interesting to see if Orton decides to get involved in this match, just like Owens did in his match last week.
