WWE has released three superstars so far today, using the same reason for all three of them.Releasing a statement on their website, WWE said they have 'come to terms' with the release of three RAW superstars; Emma, Summer Rae, and Darren Young, wishing them the best in all of their future endeavors. This brings the number of superstars released on the year to 14 in total so far.Out of the three superstars mentioned, Emma comes as the most unexpected, as she was recently booked in a match against the debuting Asuka at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs last weekend, and was even on Monday Night RAW a week ago.Her 'It's all about me' gimmick had given her more television time over the past couple of weeks, which is why it's surprising to see WWE deciding to release her. The company has released her before in 2014 after a shoplifting incident, but they did rehire her hours later. One of the speculated reasons behind her departure is her refusing to use the 'Emmalina' gimmick, which is currently being used by Lana. However, WWE nor any of the superstars released today are yet to confirm why their time with the company has come to an end.

As for Summer Rae and Darren Young, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has summed it up nicely.

Rae was last seen involved in a Rusev-Lana love triangle storyline before getting injured, while Young was briefly repackaged and paired with WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund before he suffered an arm injury. Neither superstar was popular amongst fans, unfortunately.

It's difficult to confirm if all three will continue wrestling now they have left the WWE. Emma and Darren Young are both talented in the ring and could continue on the independent circuit if the opportunities are there for them, while Rae might decide to go more down the modeling route, as evident by some of her more recent Instagram posts.
