Zach Miller and the Chicago Bears were absolutely robbed of a touchdown earlier today (Sun. October 29, 2017) as they took on the New Orleans Saints from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Louisiana.

Miller has been in the National Football League (NFL) since 2009 when he was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 180th overall pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. He played with the team for three seasons but wasn't able to produce much of anything to give the Jaguars an incentive to resign him.

In 2013 he was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was released from the team just seven months later. In December of 2013 he was signed to the Chicago Bears where he has remained since.

With the Bears Miller has produced back-to-back seasons just under 500 yards and has snagged in no less than 4 touchdowns a year. This season Miller was having quite a nice year thus far on the field catching passes from rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

His season may have been brought to an unexpected halt, however, and the referees in today's game may have added insult to injury by stripping away one of his touchdowns. On one play in the game Miller hauled in a long touchdown pass from Trubisky but was unable to get back up.

Shortly after catching the ball Miller placed the ball next to him to favor his leg, however, the referee wrongfully counted this as a dropped pass and overturned the touchdown after Miller was carted off the field due to his injury. Check it out here:

With an already thin receiving core, it will be difficult for rookie Trubisky as he continues on in his debut season in the NFL as a starter. If Miller is lost for the season then the Bears' chances of making the playoffs are even worse.

After starting off the season 3-4 the Bears went on to lose to New Orleans 20-12, now making them 3-5 on the year. It should be interesting to see how their season goes as we continue the season.

What are your thoughts on Miller's touchdown catch getting called back after suffering from that nasty injury? Do you think that Miller actually lost control of the ball? Or did he get robbed of a touchdown that could have kept them in the game? Let is know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
