Arguably the biggest story of the year in professional wrestling was the viral infection that took over the Monday Night RAW locker room - forcing WWE officials to make major changes to their Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV).

Originally the main event was supposed to feature the reunion of The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose) taking on the team of The Miz, The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro), Braun Strowman, and Kane.

Unfortunately Roman Reigns caught a case of the mumps, which was affecting the WWE locker room, and was forced out of the PPV match-up. In a shocking turn of events, Reigns was replaced by WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle.

The match would be Angle's first inside a WWE ring in over 11 years, and he surely didn't disappoint. While fans were shocked to hear about the news, imagine the mindset of one of the men he would be facing against at TLC.

Cesaro was one of those men, and he recently did an interview with The Baltimore Sun to discuss the event. Cesaro admitted that he was selfishly happy when he found out about the news (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"Selfishly, I was very happy about it. I was a big fan of Kurt Angle when I was growing up. Actually, his book is a big part of the reason that I work out so hard.

"I thought I was working out pretty hard myself when I was younger, and then I read his book and realized that I needed to step it up, at least a little bit.

"I knew I may not be able to match his output, but I was going to try my hardest. He had a big influence on me and it was pretty awesome to be in the ring with him in his WWE return."

What are your thoughts on Cesaro's comments regarding when he found out he'd be facing off against Kurt Angle at TLC? How did you react to Angle's replacing of Reigns at the event?
