We are slowly but surely getting closer to WrestleMania season.

It’s well known by now that due to medical concerns Roman Reigns had been removed from the scheduled 3-on-5 TLC match between The Shield and the team of The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Strowman, and Kane at the TLC PPV (pay-per-view) event at the Target Center in Minnesota, Minneapolis on the WWE Network.

Reigns was replaced by WWE Hall of Famer and Raw General Manager Kurt Angle. This match marked Angle’s first WWE match in 11 years. It was a special moment to say the least.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter was the first to report that Angle was already planned for a big program at WrestleMania before being penciled in for the spot at TLC. It turns out that Angle will be wrestling before WrestleMania 34.

Stephanie McMahon made her return to WWE television on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Baltimore, MD at the Royal Farms Arena on the USA Network. She was last seen on WWE TV at WrestleMania 33 when she took a bump off the apron through a table during the Seth Rollins - Triple H match.

She announced that Angle will return to in-ring action to lead a Raw team against a SmackDown Live team at the Survivor Series If Team Raw doesn’t win at Survivor Series, then Angle will no longer be Raw GM.

The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.

In regards to his opponent at WrestleMania 34, the list of possible opponent is quite long. Some fans have speculated that he could face Triple H, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and The Undertaker. According to Cageside Seats, Triple H vs. Angle could be the direction for WrestleMania 34.

WrestleMania 34 is set to be held on April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network and is the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured on the card.
